Thesis defense is an examination of the comprehensive ability of graduate students and also a necessary stage for degree application. The specific thesis defense process is shown in the following figure.
Master's Thesis Defense Process
1. Degree applicants log in Graduate School website and enter Master's degree application entry
2. Defense meeting
3. Defense secretary announces the membership list of Thesis Defense Committee
4.
Degree applicants report the content of the thesis (30-40 minutes)
5. Questions from members of the Thesis Defense Committee and attendees
(20-30 minutes)
6. Degree applicants answer questions
7. Internal meeting of the Thesis Defense Committee (the thesis defense is adjourned)
8. The defense meeting resumes; announcement of the results of the vote and the resolution of Thesis Defense Committee.
9. The thesis defense meeting ends
10. Defense Secretary submits the defense materials to the Sub-committee on degree evaluation for review
