Eligibility

1. Undergraduate Scholarship Application Conditions

（1） Applicants should comply with Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and habits and abide by the regulations and disciplines of the NPU.

（2）Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid ordinary passport，and must offer the valid health checklist and the authorized photocopy.

P.S. Applicants must hold the valid passport or valid certificate for at least 4 years and have the two-year record of residence in their country in recent 4 years.

（3）Language requirements:

• Chinese Requirement: HSK level 4 (above 200 points) and HSKK (above intermediate)

• English Requirement: IELTS≥5.5,TOFEL≥75;SAT≥1150,PTE Academic 55,Cambridge English Advanced level English subject B or above(Different Schools would have different requirements).

（4）Aged between 18 and 30 years old (by September 1, 2020);

For the applicants under 18, please bring the relevant supporting documents (Notarized Certificate of guardian in China) to the official registration.

2.Postgraduate Scholarship Application Conditions

（1） Applicants should comply with Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and habits and abide by the regulations and disciplines of the NPU.

（2）Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid ordinary passport，and must offer the valid health checklist and the authorized photocopy.

（3）Language requirements:

• For Chinese Medium Major: ≥HSK level4 (above 200 points) and HSKK (Intermediate); or native Chinese speakers;

• For English Medium: ≥ IELTS overall 5.5; ≥ TOFEL 75; ≥ GRE 310+3.5; ≥ PTE Academic 55; Cambridge international Advanced level (English subject); or native English speakers.

（4）Age & Academic background

• Applicants who apply for Master must be under 35 years old and have the bachelor’s degree that has already been recognized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

• Applicants who apply for PhD must be under 40 years old and have the master’s degree that has already been recognized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

（5）GPA requirement:

Applicants should have good academic marks. GPA from previous (latest) school must be:

• 3.0 or above (out of 4.0);

• 3.75 or above (out of 5.0);

• 75 or above (out of 100):

（6）Applicants should have strong capacity in scientific research

Application documents

1. Official academic transcript (in Chinese / English or notarized translation in Chinese / English);

2. Notarized highest diploma (in Chinese / English or notarized translation in Chinese / English);

3. The applicant’s study or research plan in China (in Chinese / English);

4. Non-criminal record (valid within 5 months).

5. Language proficiency certificate (please see language requirement);

6. A clear photocopy of a valid passport;

7. Copy of physical examination report

8. Postgraduate application：

• Two letters of recommendation in Chinese / English by Professors or associate Professors.

• The acceptance letter from the Supervisor;

• Notarized copies of research achievements;

9. Undergraduate：Applicants under the age of 18 are required to provide:

• Guardian’s authorization letter (scanned copies of both original and notarized documents);

• Scanned copy of the guardian’s ID card.

Application Procedure

Step1 - Complete the online application procedure on the following web page:http://admission.nwpu.edu.cn/

Step2 - Admission Committee will be organized to review documents of applicants and applicants’ documents will be selected for further academic schools.

Step3 - Applicants will be notified for further interview by email.

Step4-Send Admission Notice and other relevant documents. The registration deadline is 15th September 2020 (See the admission notice). If you fail to register within the time limit without the permission of the registration office of International College, you will have forfeited admission into this university.

Note：Register account must be your valid E-mail as the admission officer will inform all results of your application to this E-mail.

Standard

The “NPU President Scholarship” is leveled into “Excellence Scholarship”, “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship”.

Undergraduate can apply for “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship”.

Postgraduate can apply for “Excellence Scholarship”, “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship”.

The “Excellence Scholarship” winners are exempt from tuition, accommodation, insurance, and living allowances are provided.

The standard of living allowance is:

• 2,000 yuan / month / person for master's degree;

• 3,500 yuan / month / person for doctoral students.

Full scholarship

Partial Scholarship

• 50% tuition waived
