Title: Writing an engineering article 2
Reporter: Paolo Massioni
Reporting time: 14:00-17:00, 10th October
Reporting place: YOUYI campus CHENG building 313
报告简介：This short module provides some general remarks on what is a scientific paper, what are its goals, which are the basic requirements that such kind of texts have and which are the most common mistakes. As the best way to learn something is by doing it, after the first class the students will be requested to prepare and hand in a short sample paper (topic of their choice) written in English. This assignment can be done in groups of students. The second and last class will go through these works, providing an assessment and suggestions for improvement. The class will end with an overview of how the peer-review process works for scientific articles.
